About Us

About Horison Business Brokers

Horison Business Brokers is part of the Horison Group, a diversified financial services and investment group built from the foundations of a Pretoria accounting firm established more than 35 years ago.

What began as a small professional practice has grown into a broader group of businesses with deep experience in accounting, audit, advisory, tax, legal, business structuring, investment, finance, and commercial transactions. Over the years, we have not only advised business owners. We have invested in businesses, bought businesses, sold businesses, merged businesses, and helped entrepreneurs navigate some of the most important transactions of their lives.

Horison Business Brokers was created to bring that experience into one focused platform: a trusted place where business sellers, buyers, investors, and strategic partners can connect with confidence.

We Understand Business Because We Are Business Owners Ourselves

Selling or buying a business is not a simple transaction. It involves valuation, tax, finance, legal agreements, due diligence, negotiation, risk management, confidentiality, staff considerations, shareholder expectations, and often years of hard work and emotion.

That is where Horison Business Brokers is different.

We are not merely listing businesses online. We bring the practical judgement of business owners, chartered accountants, lawyers, consultants, financiers, and dealmakers who understand what can go wrong and how to structure a transaction properly from the start.

Our team has been involved in:

  • Buying businesses for our own group
  • Investing alongside other buyers
  • Selling businesses on behalf of clients
  • Structuring mergers, acquisitions, and amalgamations
  • Assisting with finance and transaction structuring
  • Performing due diligence investigations
  • Negotiating and reviewing commercial agreements
  • Connecting buyers, sellers, funders, advisors, and strategic partners

Our work is rooted in the Southern African business environment, but our network also extends to international buyers and investors looking for credible opportunities in the region.

Why We Created This Platform

Many business owners only sell a business once in their lives. That creates risk.

Without the right guidance, sellers may undervalue their business, disclose sensitive information too early, deal with unqualified buyers, accept weak offers, expose themselves legally, or lose value through poor structuring.

Buyers face similar risks. They may overpay, misunderstand the real financial position, miss tax or legal issues, inherit hidden liabilities, or enter a deal without proper due diligence.

Horison Business Brokers exists to reduce those risks.

Our goal is to create a professional, trusted, and efficient marketplace where serious sellers and credible buyers can meet, supported by experienced advisors who understand the full transaction process.

What We Offer

For business owners who want to sell, we assist with positioning the business properly, preparing information, identifying suitable buyers, protecting confidentiality, managing negotiations, and guiding the process through to conclusion.

For buyers and investors, we provide access to business opportunities and assist with evaluation, deal structuring, due diligence, funding discussions, and transaction support.

For both sides, our objective is simple: fair deals, properly structured, with fewer mistakes, fewer surprises, and better outcomes.

Built On Trust, Experience, And Execution

The Horison Group has been built over decades through long-term relationships, professional service, disciplined advice, and practical business involvement. Horison Business Brokers carries that same philosophy into the business sales and acquisition market.

We believe good transactions are not built on pressure, inflated promises, or shortcuts. They are built on trust, preparation, proper information, commercial fairness, and professional execution.

Whether you are preparing to sell your life's work, looking for your next acquisition, seeking investors, or exploring strategic growth through mergers and acquisitions, Horison Business Brokers provides the experience, network, and structure to help you move forward with confidence.

List. Buy. Invest. Grow.

Horison Business Brokers connects serious buyers with quality businesses and helps business owners unlock value in a fair, professional, and structured way.

If you are ready to sell, acquire, invest, or explore your options, Horison Business Brokers is the right place to start.

NDA Section

Confidentiality Before Information Release.

NDA requests are captured against a specific mandate. The form is deliberately short because the screening call and jurisdictional confidentiality requirements matter more than a long public form.

A buyer should not receive financials, staff details or customer names without a broker-approved confidentiality process.

Information Is Released in Controlled Layers.

Initial public summaries are intentionally limited. After a buyer profile is reviewed, an NDA can be issued. Detailed packs follow only when the buyer has a credible acquisition route and the seller approves disclosure.

Confidentiality is treated as a transaction control, not a formality.
